Autograph letter signed, dated : Berlin, 15 October 1833, to [Carl Gottfried Theodor Winkler], 1833 Oct. 15.

Expressing regret that Winkler did not send the manuscript of Die drei Pintos, commenting on the success of Robert der Teufel [i.e. Robert le diable] in Karlsruhe, saying that the performances he has seen of Rossini's Wilhelm Tell, Chélard's Macbeth, and Robert belong to the very best opera productions in Germany, mentioning Mme Fischer[-Achten], Haitzinger, Reichel, Leiningen[-Neudenau], etc.
